A folded curtain of mesh on a top-and-bottom track that stacks flat to one side, so the full width of the doorway is clear whenever you don't need the net drawn.

A pleated net fitted to a balcony door in Coimbatore.
A pleated net is a folded curtain of mesh that runs on a slim track fixed to the top and bottom of the frame. Pull it across the opening when you want the net up, and it concertinas flat to one side when you don't — out of the doorway entirely, not bunched against it.
Because it stacks flat rather than swinging or sliding, it suits openings where you want the net gone completely when you walk through: a main door, a balcony door, or a wide gap between rooms that a hinged net would get in the way of.
Main doors, balcony doors and wide openings — anywhere the full width needs to be clear when the net is folded away.

The track and frame are powder-coated aluminium, colour matched to your existing door or window rather than sold in a fixed set of colours. Tell us the finish on the door and we match it.
No. It folds flat to one side on its track, the same way a pleated curtain does, so the full width of the opening stays clear when you walk through.
Yes. The track runs along the top and bottom of the frame independently of how the door or window itself opens, so it works on hinged doors, sliding doors and plain wide openings alike.
Fibreglass is the standard mesh. Stainless steel, aluminium, UV/sun-protection and pet-resistant heavy-duty mesh are also available if the opening needs it — tell us what the door faces and we will say which one is worth it.
A soft brush or the crevice tool on a vacuum cleaner gets the dust out of the folds without stretching them. Wipe the top and bottom track with a dry or barely damp cloth now and then so the net keeps running smoothly.
Call us, or send a photo of the window or door on WhatsApp and we will tell you which net suits it before anyone visits.
